Strange... the smile on this monster reminds me of your teddy bear in the IF below...

I love books too and live near a great Amnesty charity book shop which means I have every excuse to buy more books!

Have you read the Unlikely Exploits series by Philip Ardagh? I liked the first one best.

Charlie

Hi Caroline,

no I haven't read the Unlikely Exploits series, I will have to check them out.

Imke

Hello!
I read your blog about the trilogy bartimaeus.
did the third book already appear in english? If yes, I envy you because I live in germany and I cant read the book in english. I tried to but its really hard to understand it.
And you know inkheart from cornelia funke? shes a german author.
I started reading it in german but it was so boring that i bought it n english to make it more interesting.
Now I've finished and I love it. I just read the second book "tintenblut" how it is called in german.
lots of love, a german girl! ;)
P.S. I like your pics, theyre really wonderful. please go on with drawing tem!! ^^

George

Awsome. The Bartimaeus trilogy is cool. I thought too that it was different from Harry Potter :)

Kinda disappointing sketch, although I do love the Bartimaeus Trilogy.Jonathan Stroud should go on and write that Bartimaeus "Bible" of his.

Still, who's this anyway,Bartimaeus in Gargoyle form?I must admit I love your work, but this quick doodle doesn't give him enough justice,he looks like an imp.

Weird that I found someone else who likes the Inheritance Trilogy AND the Bartimeus Trilogy.Update the site more,Charlie!

About

  • IISB Welcome to A Doodle A Day! Feel free to have a good look around and leave me a comment if you like what you see, or even if you don't!

A Doodle a Day is a place where I publish sketches created for fun and the love of drawing and more finished illustrations. I draw primarily with pen and ink, either dip pen or fountain pen. I do use other mediums such as watercolour, acrylics, pencil and soft pastels but my first love as a medium is pen and ink, especially dip pen.

I trained and worked for many years as a graphic designer, artist and studio manager within publishing as well taking on freelance projects. I draw for the sheer enjoyment of creating something from nothing but a white sheet of paper and a bottle of ink. I also work as an illustrator concentrating on Childrens illustration. I hope that you get as much enjoyment from seeing these sketches and illustrations as I do from creating them.
